Shallow Water Snipers - All Brass

Description

Designed here and exclusive to First Strike Lures. Weighted tips provide balance and make 'em heavy enough to cast without adding splitshot but the larger hollow profile means they'll sink slower than our torpedos. Beads in between for a hint of color. These are an ideal bell spinner alternative. Drift these when a torpedo is hittin' the bottom just a little too often. Select sizes and hook options and message us if you want a blade/body/bead combo you don't see here and we'll make it for you. Just like our torpedo spinners, you can choose to receive these already-built or save money with DIY kits that include all of the components to make them.* These do not automatically come with a swivel attached but if you want them just note that as you check out.#3 - (large cone, one bead) = 1/4oz spinner#4 - (two small cones, one bead) = 1/3rd oz spinner#4.5 - (one small, one large cone, one bead) = 2/5th oz spinner#5 - (two large cones, one bead) = 1/2 oz spinner * Single hook DIY kits come as shown with closed loop wire shafts and are easy to twist up with a pair of round nosed pliers. Treble hook DIY kits come with open loop shafts that will twist up best with a former. Click on the "How-To" tab for videos.

Field Notes

Use in shallow, slow-drifting situations where a torpedo spinner is hitting the bottom too often. Let the spinner work down just enough to stay near the strike zone, using a steady drift or light casting-and-drift retrieve.

Pros

  • All-brass construction for durability
  • Weighted tips for balance and easier casting without split shot
  • Larger hollow profile sinks slower than torpedo-style spinners
  • Beads add flash/color between blades

Cons

  • Does not automatically include a swivel attached
  • DIY kits require assembly/tuning if not already-built
