Semperfli Classic Waxed Thread - 12/0

Classic Waxed Thread 12/0 is part of the Semperfli 70 denier range of Classic Waxed Threads (CWT) which have been designed specifically for fly tying for midges, emergers and dry flies. It's usually used on hook sizes 10 to 20. Many tyers are moving to 12/0 thread in preference to traditional 8/0 because it is still strong with a breaking strain of 489gm (17.25oz) but presents a thinner profile thread. These waxed threads are unique; laying flat with a two core construction but can easily be split to create dubbing loops and they are strong threads. Semperfli worked with their Pro Team to get the correct amount of wax on each thread to hold materials but not clog your bobbin holder. Having developed and manufactured their own computerised spooling machinery this 12/0 classic thread is put onto the spool with touching turns in totally level traverse, why is this important? It means you won't end up with a birds nest when tying flies!
