We wanted to take the trusted base clouser pattern and give it just that little push to be something even more! A perfect blend of bucktail, flash and synthetics to give this variation that nice baitfish profile. Tied on a Gamakatsu SL12 in sizes 2/0 & 2. Size 6 is on the Gamakatsu SL11. Size: 2

Field Notes

Best used as a saltwater baitfish imitation when fish are feeding on small bait. Cast it near structure, drop-offs, or moving water and strip it back with short, sharp retrieves to make the fly dart and pulse. It is a versatile pattern for both shallow and slightly deeper presentations depending on sink line and retrieve speed.
