Description

Choose your size(3 options) from the drop down menu. It automatically is set on 1/4 so if you don’t choose a size you’ll get 1/4 The Saginaw Slammers are poured, painted, and packaged right here in Bridgeport Michigan. They are powder coated and baked so they won’t chip! The fins are put on with UV resin and are much stronger than standard baits of this style. They come with a #8 VMC treble hook. 1/4 ounce are 1 3/4 inches long: They’re small but are perfect for Saginaw Bay walleye. The hook is a #8 which is bigger than normal baits this size but needed when targeting Saginaw Bay walleye 1/2 ounce are 2 1/4 inches long: Perfect size for the Saginaw River 99% of the time but a lot of ice anglers like this size on the bay also 3/4 ounce are 3 inches long: Great for when the current is stronger. Also can be used on the bay and the size I like to use for casting.

Field Notes

This is a compact walleye jig/blade-style bait built for Saginaw Bay, the Saginaw River, and ice fishing. Use the lighter 1/4 oz size for casting or vertical presentations in moderate depths, and step up in weight when current increases. The treble-hook design and small profile make it a good choice when walleyes want a subtle but flashy target.

Pros

  • Powder-coated and baked finish resists chipping
  • UV-resin fins add durability
  • Multiple sizes for bay, river, and current

Cons

  • Treble hook can snag more easily around cover
  • Small profile may require precise presentation
