Field Notes

Use Sparkie Jigs when you need a compact, weighted presentation for panfish or walleye/pickerel. Start with lighter sizes (1/16–1/8 oz) for crappie/perch and step up to 3/16–1/4 oz for walleye/pickerel; heavier sizes (3/8 oz and up) are better when targeting larger pike. Jig vertically or cast and retrieve with short hops to keep the lure near the bottom.

Pros

  • Multiple size/hook combinations for different species
  • Can be painted in multiple colors and glitter coats

Cons

  • Size selection is important to match target species and conditions
