Description

The Rattlin' Bird is a fantastic fish caller. This newly modified 12" bird now comes with an aluminum wing and rigging tube . It can be run anywhere in the spread and even on 30# class tackle! It's big, and it rattles and splashes like crazy while riding high on the surface due to being extremely buoyant. This makes it great for fighting big fish because it helps wear them down and keep them from bull dogging deep into the water column. With the new aluminum wing, there will no longer be broken wings and the cable replacement will be a breeze with the new rigging tube.

Field Notes

Use this surface fish-caller in open water or along the spread to attract and hold big fish near the boat. Run it anywhere in the spread; the lure rides high and stays extremely buoyant, making it ideal when you want to keep fish from pushing deep. Works well when you need loud rattling/splashing to draw attention.

Pros

  • Extremely buoyant—rides high on the surface
  • Rattles and splashes heavily to attract fish
  • Can be run anywhere in the spread
  • Aluminum wing and rigging tube improve durability and cable replacement

Cons

  • Large surface lure—may be overkill for smaller fish
  • Best suited to spread/boat-style fishing rather than tight casting spots
