Description

This month’s Product Testing bait will not be released to the public until Spring 2027 and is built to do one thing extremely well—imitate the most common and most vulnerable forage in the water: a baitfish. The minnow profile is one of the most reliable shapes in fishing because it works across multiple phases, but it becomes especially effective during the postspawn. As bass recover and begin feeding again, they shift toward easy, natural meals—and that’s exactly what this bait represents. Designed with a subtle, natural action, this minnow excels when fish aren’t willing to chase aggressively. Instead of overpowering the strike zone, it glides, tracks true, and stays in front of fish long enough to trigger bites from bass that are cruising, suspended, or holding just off structure. This is a high-versatility bait. Fish it on a light jighead, a dropshot, or even weightless depending on conditions. It’s just as effective targeting fish on the first break outside spawning areas as it is around docks, grass edges, or open water where bass are roaming. The key with this bait is restraint. Let it do the work. Keep your movements controlled. Focus on maintaining depth and staying in the strike zone. This is also where your feedback matters. As part of the MONSTERBASS Product Testing Program, you’re getting early access to a bait that’s still being refined. Pay attention to how fish react, what conditions produce best, and how it performs compared to other baitfish-style presentations you’ve used. Because the goal isn’t just to fish it. It’s to help shape it. Fish it. Test it. Break it down. Then tell us what you think.
