THE 8″ K DRILL IS REALLY 7 1/2″. WE CUT DOWN THIS SKIMMER TO 7 1/8″. OTHER ELECTRIC AUGERS MAY ALSO NEED TO BE CUSTOM SIZED. PLEASE INCLUDE THIS IN YOUR ORDER NOTES. 7″, 8″ K DRILL, AND 9″ ARE CUT DOWN, BUT THIS DOES NOT AFFECT PERFORMANCE. IF ORDERING A CUSTOM SIZE, SELECT CUSTOM, AND NOTE THE DIAMETER OF THE PLASTIC YOU’D LIKE IN THE ORDER NOTES. OUR STANDARD IS TO ALLOW 3/8″ OF RELIEF BETWEEN THE AUGER HOLE AND THE SKIMMER. FOR INSTANCE, OUR 10″ MODEL HAS A 9-5/8″ SKIMMER PLATE.
