Field Notes

This is an egg cure used to prepare salmon and steelhead roe, not a lure. It is applied to skeins, clusters, or loose eggs to add color and help preserve the bait for drift fishing, float fishing, or spawn-sack presentations. The Tillamook Blend’s fluorescent reddish-orange tone is intended to trigger bites from finicky salmon, especially when fish are selective.
