Just Received I haven't used it to fish but it feels light and flexible enough to give a great cast from the surf. Looking forward to casting and enjoying, worth the price!

Great rod for what I am using it for, inshore saltwater fishing! I purchased a Prevail III medium two piece rod to pair with my 2500 Authority. Great rod for what I am using it for, inshore saltwater fishing! Trout, Flounder, Red Fish, Sheephead and what ever I can get to bite. I'm very happy with them both.

Versatile rod at good value Used an 8' Prevail III rod paired with a Fierce 6000 reel for roosterfish in Baja Sur. Performed great - from both shore and boat - and was at a reasonable enough cost to where we aren't worried about it if it gets damaged or lost while traveling.
