Field Notes

Best for imitating shrimp around saltwater flats, marsh edges, docks, and other shallow inshore water. Work it with short jerks and twitches to make it dart and pause, especially when redfish, snook, striped bass, or cobia are feeding on shrimp. The slow sink lets it stay in the strike zone in shallow water and around cover.

Pros

  • Realistic shrimp profile and action
  • Slow-sinking presentation stays in the strike zone
  • EBS shrimp sound may help draw fish from farther away

Cons

  • Limited to shallow-depth presentations
  • Shrimp imitation may be less effective when fish are keyed on baitfish
