Description

The SHIKARI 145 is a long-casting, shallow diving, slow floating jerkbait with a tungsten weight transfer system. The internal weight slides backward into the tail when casting to maximize distance, and then rolls forward when being retrieved to balance the lure and keep it perfectly level. The Shikari can be twitched hard on the retrieve to produce an erratic action where the lure will turn 180° triggering violent strikes from inshore gamefish. It can also be trolled with a significant body roll, and when retrieved will produce a nose to tail whole body wiggle, making it highly appealing to all predators. The Shikari 145 is a Striped Bass casting weapon , whether from the boat or from shore, this bait is designed to cast a long way and catch fish. Every Nomad Design lure has been crafted by decades of experience on the water to be tougher, last longer and to catch more fish.

Field Notes

Use this shallow-diving jerkbait when striped bass and other inshore predators are feeding near the surface or just below it. The slow float and tungsten weight transfer help it cast far, and hard twitches create an erratic 180° turn that can trigger reaction strikes. It can also be trolled for a body-roll presentation.

  • Long-casting design
  • Slow-floating profile
  • Erratic darting action on twitches
  • Can be cast or trolled
