Not many rods are built from square one to load up and deliver half a chicken. With the help of Midwest Musky Junkies We teamed up with some of the Midwest’s most obsessed musky anglers to develop a series of rods to do it all: Close to the water, high gunnels, figure eight, full sinking, intermediate tip, 1000 casts, stupid big flies… You get the idea. 11wt rods with bottom grips The Musky comes in two length options, both in 11wt. The 8’8″ for fishing close to the water, and the 9’4″ for the “taller” boats. Choose the one that gets you the best figure eight! Rajeff Sports would like your ECHO experience to be a good one and we ask that you take care of your equipment with the following regular maintenance: Wash all components with warm freshwater after each days use in saltwater. Pay extra attention to the space where the guides meet the blank and the metal parts of the reel seat. Try to keep sand and dirt out of the ferrules. Occasionally use a few drops of any reel oil or grease on the reel seat threads to keep it operating smoothly. Paraffin wax can also be used on the ferrules if needed to ensure a proper fit. Do not use tape on your ferrules. If you do we’ll come steal all your bacon and PBR. Field Notes

Built for casting very large flies to musky and pike, especially from boats where close-range figure-8 presentations matter. The shorter 8'8" model suits lower boats, while the 9'4" model is better for higher-decked boats and reaching down to the water at boatside. It is intended for heavy-duty fly fishing with full sinking or intermediate tips and repeated long casting sessions.

Pros

  • Designed specifically for big musky/pike flies
  • Two length options for different boat heights
  • 11wt power for loading and delivering heavy flies

Cons

  • Specialized rod with limited use outside musky/pike fishing
  • Heavy line weight and big flies require more advanced casting skill
