Lake Michigan Angler

Field Notes

Stainless diver wire is used as trolling line for planer boards, divers, and other offshore or Great Lakes presentations where low stretch and abrasion resistance matter. It is best for pulling lures at controlled depths and handling heavy trolling pressure. Use with appropriate terminal connections and trolling hardware.

Pros

  • 1000 ft spool provides plenty of trolling line
  • 7-strand stainless construction for strength and durability
  • Designed specifically for diver/trolling applications

Cons

  • Not a general-purpose casting line
  • Requires specialized handling and rigging
  • Stainless wire can be less forgiving than braid or mono
