Spring on the Missouri is prime time. Flows stabilize after winter, water clarity is excellent, and the first major PMD hatches begin in late May. Fish are active and feeding aggressively. This box is built around the Missouri's spring hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, midges, and early PMDs. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing and technical nymphing in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year. What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering BWO dries, midge clusters, PMD emergers, and small nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season. Pro tip from the water: Early morning midge hatches can be incredible in April and May. Fish the flat water where you can see rising trout and use long, fine leaders.
