The Barbless Micro Adams selection. A selection of 12 barbless Adams Flies , comprising 2 different patterns (in 2 micro sizes). The Adams fly is one which should be in all river angler fly boxes. This style of fly was originally tied by Leonard Halladay and named after his good friend Charles Adams (from “The History of Fly Fishing in Fifty Flies”, by Ian Whitelaw ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Fly-Fishing-Fifty-Flies/dp/1781314012 ). Nobody is really sure exactly what his fly imitates, but it is one of the all time greats. Descriptions of each fly: Parachute Adams - T ied in the parachute style (with the hackle wrapped horizontally), with a white sighting post and in the original colours . This selection contains 3 each of sizes 18 and 20. Indicator Adams - Tied in the parachute style (with the hackle wrapped horizontally), with a vivid yellow sighting post and in the original colours. This selection contains 3 each of sizes 18 and 20. The price includes 12 hand-tied barbless Adams flies supplied in our eco-friendly packaging . Field Notes

A classic dry fly selection for presenting small mayfly imitations on rivers, reservoirs, and stillwaters. Best fished as a delicate surface pattern when trout or grayling are feeding on or near the top, especially in calm conditions or during insect hatches.
