Built and refined off the Mondo Shad frame, and made for only the biggest of fish swimming in your waters… The Mega Shad is a fishing lure made for one bite, and one bite only: your lake record, your state record, your PB. Like the Mondo Shad, this is, unequivocally, the most realistic fishing lure you could possibly fish. And at 13 inches and just over 18 ounces, it’s likely to be the biggest fishing lure you’ve ever fished. The main focus of Fish 30acre’s lure line-up has always been realism. This started by using molds of real fish and has since progressed into using advancements in 3D scanning, modeling, and printing. All of that has accumulated into what we have here. Over the years, we’ve learned what works best in regard to production and manufacturing of hard resin fishing lures. We utilize 3 different types of resin material to create the overall look and action of the Mega Shad. This includes a hard resin body with encapsulated, heavy-duty stainless-steel hardware and ballasting, semi-rigid and transparent fins, and a rebounding urethane tail. Plus, the 390-pound stainless steel swiveling hook hangers will give you confidence that trophy fish will stay pinned. Adding all of this together creates the most realistic AND durable fishing lure we have ever produced. What you have is a properly proportioned 13″ Gizzard Shad. Just like how you find it in the wild. This is the real deal and meticulously designed to fool the biggest fish into biting. The Mega weighs in over 18 ounces, so you will need proper, heavy-duty equipment to showcase its skills. It was designed to have a super slow sink to slow floating sink rate, depending on your water temperature. This will allow you to easily adjust its sink rate to your desire by adding different hooks or belly weights. Or leave it as-is and fish it effortlessly as it slowly swims back and forth like a real fish. The action of the Mega Shad was made to replicate a large, lethargic Gizzard Shad.
