Description

Sukharn Bait Co. – Mega Flapharn (Mega Flaptail) A big‑water, big‑presence topwater built from our original flaptail design — handcrafted in small batches and produced in limited numbers. The Mega Flapharn is a versatile, oversized flaptail that can be fished fast, crawled painfully slow, or anything in between. There’s no wrong way to work it; its sound and profile do the heavy lifting. At the heart of this lure is our unique flaptail harness system, built around a .062 stainless‑steel wire frame and a size 10 Indiana blade that rotates inside two stainless screw eyes and a handmade guide. Above the harness sits a second size 9 Indiana blade, adding additional clack, flash, and turbulence. A stainless washer and screw finish the rear assembly, creating a deep, resonant sound signature that carries across chop and wind. Handcrafted from pine and finished with stainless components and a two‑part epoxy exterior, the Mega Flapharn is a true Sukharn original — loud, durable, and unapologetically big. Also available in Mini and Micro sizes. Field Notes

Work it fast over wind-chop and open water to trigger reaction strikes, or crawl it very slowly to keep the blades clacking and throwing turbulence. Use it when you want a loud, high-visibility topwater profile that can still be controlled at different speeds.

Pros

  • Oversized, loud topwater built for big-water visibility
  • Dual-blade harness adds clack, flash, and turbulence
  • Epoxy-sealed/finished pine body with stainless components for durability

Cons

  • Large profile may be overkill for small or pressured fish
  • Heavier lure can be harder to cast in light tackle
