March Brown Upright

This March Brown Upright is tied on a barbless AHREX FW503 in a size 12. An imitation of the Adult March Brown, this variant is fished dry and sits proud on the water surface. It can be used in either early (March/Early April) or very late in the season - September/October. Apply floatant to the full hackle, this allows the fly to stand on the water's surface with only the tips of the hackle making indentations on the surface - it is believed that the pattern of indentations is the trigger to the fish taking the fly. This fly is only available in a size 12.
