A classic big trout and steelhead nymph designed to be fished under an indicator. It is best in deeper runs, seams, and pocket water where a weighted fly can get down quickly and stay in the strike zone.

Pros

Cons

  • Can be too heavy for shallow water
  • Less subtle in very clear, low-pressure conditions
