Field Notes

This is a collectible wooden surface lure with a spinner, suited to slow retrieves that keep it working near the top. It would be used around shallow cover or open-water targets where a larger profile and flash can draw strikes. The antique, boxed presentation suggests it is more of a collector piece than a modern everyday bait.

Pros

  • Rare limited-production collectible lure
  • Large 7+ inch profile for big-fish appeal
  • Wood construction and glass eyes add classic craftsmanship

Cons

  • Antique/collector value makes it expensive to fish with
  • Likely fragile compared with modern production lures
  • Limited practical information on exact running behavior
