Description

The Menace from Livingston Lures is a predator lure with an attitude. The Menace is built to put trophy-class fish in the net when other presentations fall short. The Menace packs a heavy punch in a small frame, thanks to its aggressive trident-style tail and radically soft-body design. This lure excels in pull-pause jerkbait presentations, delivering erratic, strike-inducing movement, but it’s just as deadly when worked like a popping tube, bouncing off structure and through ambush zones. The Menace’s fast, vertical fall is perfect and provokes violent reaction strikes from apex predators tracking their prey from below. During the pause or on the fall, the Menace’s rounded belly produces an irresistible rocking wobble that mimics a stunned or fleeing baitfish—exactly what triggers commitment from big fish. The Menace is powered by Livingston’s EBS™ (Electronic Baitfish Sound) Technology, which guarantees it doesn’t just move like prey—it sounds like it, too and effectively called fish in. Lure Specs: Weight: 4.50 oz. / 127.57 Length: 8.07" / 20.50 cm Hooks: 3X Strong, Mustad BZ 3/O X3

Field Notes

Use the Menace on a pull-pause jerkbait retrieve to create erratic, strike-inducing movement during the pauses and on the fall. It can also be worked as a popping-tube style lure by bouncing it off structure through ambush zones, then letting it rock/wobble on the pause or vertical fall to trigger reaction strikes from predators tracking below.

Pros

  • Erratic pull-pause action with strong pause/fall performance
  • Vertical fall and rocking wobble mimic fleeing/stunned baitfish
  • EBS™ electronic baitfish sound adds an additional attractant layer
  • Designed for heavy reaction strikes from apex predators

Cons

  • Large, heavy lure may be overkill for smaller fish or light tackle
  • Requires active, controlled retrieves (pull-pause or structure-bouncing)
