Kontinental

As the name would suggest, this is a very strong hook for use both at home and abroad, and with a stepped-up wire gauge. The Kontinental features a short shank and a heavily forged bend for extra strength, ending in a needle-sharp straight point and with a micro barb to help penetration and then keep the hook in place once it does go in. This hook pattern will stand up to being used for big fish in Europe, as well as being a great choice when fishing on snaggy or weedy venues in the UK, basically any situation where a bit of extra strength, compared to the size of the hook, is vital.
