Swing your rod upwards and let the spoon do its job dropping back down while fluttering, but make sure to lower your rod as the spoon drops. By keeping tension on your line while this lure falls will prevent the lure from its optimal flutter action. Repeat this until you get a strike and always be prepared to get bit both on the fall and while you swing your rod upwards.
