Designed, tested and hand crafted by Mike Gilbert in 2019 as a new tool for angler's to target Trophy Bass around heavy cover or structure. The Heckler is a panfish-like, hollow but full body "snag-less" swimbait. It features the highly regarded, nose saving Headcase Harness, amongst other industry redefining features like the Stealth Mode Hook Slot, Chaos Chamber and Twist Tail. The tall in profile but short in length Heckler should be fished on a SLOW/MEDIUM -ROLL making contact with cover/structure. It is not a high in the water column "burn" bait, unless an angler possesses the skills to modify the bait to their needs/specifications. It is possible, quite easily if you are familiar with soft plastic baits. The Heckler is a Premium soft bait that is intended for use by angler's that have an advanced knowledge of rigging soft plastic Swimbaits with Beast Hook style hooks. We do not recommend the Heckler to be an angler's first swimbait. The Heckler is a soft bait, so toothy critters (especially Turtles) will bite off the tails. Your line, especially braid, can cut your tail off as well from the hookset or being wrapped in a snag. We stand behind our products so please reach out to us if you have any issue outside of wear and tear with our baits that may be considered as a manufacturer defect. Each bait is hand poured and painted so there will be slight variations in paint from bait to bait along with cosmetic variations in the plastic from bait to bait. The Heckler comes in a reusable package that allows anglers to store rigged baits worry free.
