Description

When heated the Heat Shrink Tube will reduce in size to half its original diameter, forming a tough protective sleeve which can be curved or angled. Field Notes

Use the heat shrink tube to sleeve and protect components in rig building. Cut to length, slide over the line/loop/swivel/lead loop area, then apply heat until it shrinks to form a tough protective sleeve that can be curved or angled.

Pros

  • Shrinks to about half diameter to form a tight, protective sleeve
  • Helps protect and insulate rig components
  • Can be curved/angled after shrinking for better rig presentation
  • Multiple diameters for different rig parts (line aligner, Ronnie rigs, lead loops/swivels)

Cons

  • Requires heat application to activate shrink
  • Incorrect sizing/cut length can lead to poor fit or rework
