Description

Supernatural Big Baits are famous for their unique wandering action. They are effective whether you are casting or trolling, but they really shine with their trolling ability. Hand made out of wood in the USA, Supernatural Big Baits have a custom designed metal lip with 3 different depth setting for increased durability and versatility. Even though HeadLocks will run at 2.5mph, they are really made for speed. Once you crank it up into the 4.5mph to 6+mph range, they violently come to life. At slower speeds they will have a tighter ‘wiggle’ with very little ‘wander’, but at higher speeds the ‘wander’ action is dominant. We’ve caught fish on HeadLocks throughout the season, but the warmer months of summer are where they really shine. 10“ or 12“??? I always say to match your forage. If the primary forage is panfish or shad the 10“ profile is a match. If the muskies are mainly feeding on whitefish, tullibee, walleye or bass then the 12“ will fit this profile better. 10″ body. 11″ overall. 6.5 ounce 12″ body. 13″ overall. 7.5 ounces * Large wood lures like Supernaturals are each unique due to varying density of wood. Field Notes

Best for fast trolling or casting when muskies are active and willing to chase a larger profile. At slower speeds it tracks with a tighter wiggle, while higher speeds bring out a stronger wandering action. Match the size to forage: the 10-inch version for panfish/shad profiles and the 12-inch version for larger baitfish like whitefish or walleye.

Pros

  • Strong wandering action at higher trolling speeds
  • Versatile for casting or trolling
  • Handmade wooden construction with adjustable lip depth settings

Cons

  • Large profile may be too much for pressured or cold-water fish
  • Wood construction can vary slightly in density and action
  • Best performance requires faster retrieve/trolling speeds
