When fished on floating braid and a medium to fast retrieve, the GutterToad DeathWish should rise to the surface and remain their for the length of the retrieve. The GT DeathWish was designed keeping the creative angler in mind and we encourage anglers to rig the bait in ways that best suit their needs. The GT DeathWish can also be fished well as a trailer or on a lead head for bottom bouncing applications. Water temperature, surface currents and terminal tackle can greatly impact the performance of the GutterToad DeathWish. ---------- GT DeathWish 4 Specifications: The recommended Hook (not included ) for fishing the GutterToad DeathWish 4 on the surface is a BKK Titan Rider 2/0. A 1/0 BKK Titan Rider Hook will provide a tighter fit to the body of the bait and stay on the the surface that much better, but will contribute to a slightly lower hook up ratio.
