The GTX is the absolute ceiling of what Nautilus builds. Five independent braking surfaces working simultaneously through the Pentadrag system, distributing heat and friction load across the drag to prevent the fade that ends fights on inferior reels. 25-plus pounds of maximum drag pressure, two-turn adjustment range, fully sealed for extreme duty saltwater conditions, and a narrow Giga spool carrying 500 yards of 60-pound braid. This reel was built for fish that do not play fair -- tarpon, GT, permit, and anything else in open water that runs hard, runs long, and tests everything between you and the backing knot.
