Phoney Frogs USA

Field Notes

A glide bait is best worked with slow, deliberate rod sweeps to make it swim side-to-side and imitate a wounded baitfish. Use it around open-water baitfish schools, points, docks, and other areas where bass are feeding on shad or gizzard shad. The shiner/gizzard shad profile and silicone fins make it a good choice for a natural presentation.

Pros

  • Realistic shiner-style baitfish profile
  • Natural gold/silver shad pattern
  • Silicone fins add lifelike detail

Cons

  • Premium price point
  • Requires a slower, more deliberate retrieve
