Description

The Godzilla Goby Line Through (LT) attracts big predators with the chance at a big meal. Designed to crawl, hop, and drag its way along the bottom, the tail design quivers in place with rod tip inputs and shimmies on the slowest retrieves and even on the fall. These baits feature an interchangeable weight chamber, allowing the user to easily change the sink rate and fish at any depth using common bullet or pencil weights. At ~1.25oz, the 5" can be thrown on most conventional jig and frog rods or light swimbait gear, while the 6" weighs in ~3oz and fishes best on a dedicated swimbait rod. The integrated hook holder (Gen2) will fit trebles from size 4-1/0 and 1X-4X wires, allowing for a use with a wide variety of line weights and hook styles for picky freshwater fish or heavy tackle musky/saltwater fishing. Baits ship with a BKK treble and standard weight intended to be inserted into the nose. All Hatch Match Baits are handmade in the USA with premium silicone for exceptional durability, and can be stored in your tackle boxes without kinking or chemically reacting.

Field Notes

Use this line-through goby-style bait when fish are feeding on bottom-oriented forage and you want a realistic, slow-moving presentation. Crawl, hop, or drag it along the bottom, then add small rod-tip inputs to make the tail quiver and shimmy on the fall. The interchangeable weight chamber lets you tune the sink rate for different depths and conditions.

Pros

  • Line-through design helps with landing fish and bait durability
  • Interchangeable weight chamber allows sink-rate tuning
  • Can be fished slowly along bottom with subtle action

Cons

  • Heavier 6-inch version requires dedicated swimbait gear
  • Best performance may require experimenting with weights and hooks
