At Team Rozemeijer, we’ve always understood the power of a well-designed shad. A few years ago, we released an all-rounder sized for both canal anglers and those targeting pike and zander on larger waters. But something was missing – many of us love fishing big waters and wanted a lure with even more presence. The Paddle already had an incredible action, so the decision was made: let’s create a bigger version. The result is the Giant Paddle – the oversized, thick-bodied brother built to tempt the monsters of open water. Not only did we add six extra centimetres in length, but we also increased the overall bulk. The result is a 23 cm shad weighing 98 g , with a rolling body action and thumping paddle tail that big predators can’t resist. The moment we saw it in action, we knew this lure was something special. The Giant Paddle is versatile and can be fished in multiple ways. In summer, when weed growth is heavy, a shallow screw is the perfect choice – and each Giant Paddle comes with a shallow screw pre-mounted, so you’re ready to go straight out of the pack. As with most big shads, you’ll need to rig a stinger yourself. We recommend using Rozemeijer 50 lbs coated wire (sleeve size 1.8) with two size 2/0 trebles . For fishing deeper water, simply switch to jigheads in various weights. A true big-fish lure, the Giant Paddle is designed to draw attention, move a lot of water, and trigger strikes from the largest predators.
