This is a fly line designed for fly fishing, with an intermediate sink rate of about 1.5 inches per second. It is useful when you want the fly to ride just below the surface film and stay in the upper water column for a controlled retrieve or slow presentation.

Pros

  • Distance taper supports longer casts
  • Good for controlled subsurface presentations

Cons

  • Not ideal for topwater presentations
  • Sink rate may be too slow for deep water
