Description

Casting Rigs The 7″ and 9″ Gator Tubes rigged with a casting rig work well in shallow to mid depth water. This set up works well when you need to fish above weed flats or along drop off edges. Use it like a jerk bait, pausing momentarily to entice strikes. Add in a floatation insert for longer hang time and glide distance. A great modification for use in shallow water or fishing over submerged weeds. Only works with Casting rigs, do not order with Jighead rigs Rigged tube weights 7″ 3.5 oz with 2 treble hooks 9″ 5 oz with 3 treble hooks Jig Rigs The 7″ and 9″ Gator Tubes are rigged with a jig head / #7 Indiana bladed tail gunner combo. This set up works well when you need to fish open water or jig deep current. When fishing open water, work the bait with a quick sweep / pause retrieve, fish can often be triggered to bite when the lure is burned back to the boat in the last 20 yards of the cast. Rigged tube weights 7″ 6 oz or 8.5 oz 9″ 6.5 oz or 9 oz Bottom Bouncer Rigs The 7″ and 9″ Gator Tubes rigged with a bottom bouncer rig is our newest jig head design with 2 single hooks at the top of the tube. Available in both shallow and deep rigs, they are great for dragging river and lake bottoms as well as fishing snag filled structure to get at hard to reach fish. Rigged tube weights 7″ 8.5 oz 9″ 9 oz Extra Tube Rigs can be purchased separately on the Hardware page. 2 per pack - rigged 1 tube rigged / 1 spare. Painted Tubes + $2.00

Field Notes

This is a rigged tube bait system for pike and musky, designed to be fished on casting rigs, jig rigs, or bottom bouncer rigs depending on depth and cover. It can be worked like a jerkbait with pauses, burned back on open water retrieves, or dragged along bottoms and structure in current. The rigged options make it useful over weed flats, along drop-offs, and around snaggy cover.

Pros

  • Multiple rigging options for different depths and presentations
  • Works over weeds, open water, and bottom structure
  • Large profile suited to big predators

Cons

  • Rigged versions are specialized and not as versatile as unrigged tubes
  • Heavier weights require heavier tackle and more open-water control
