Introducing the new Fish-Skull® Alu-Eye Clouser Minnow The Alu-Eye Clouser Minnow evolved from the original Clouser Minnow pattern, pioneered by fly tier Bob Clouser in the 1980s. Retaining the core design elements of its predecessor, it features weighted eyes positioned beneath the hook, prompting the fly to ride hook-point up, mirroring the motion of a startled baitfish. The "Alu-Eye" adaptation employs lightweight aluminum metal eyes, departing from the conventional lead or bead chain eyes. This modification facilitates the creation of larger flies for targeting big game fish with a 6/0 hook size that remains light and effortless to cast.
