Description

Forward Facing Sonar fishing has been taking over the industry the past 18 months, and the Hover Jig technique has become a big player in that realm of fishing. Insert the hook point about 1/4" back from the head of the bait. Then thread the jig back through the bait until you reach the eyelet of the hook. Lastly pull the head of your bait away from the hook and push the front of the jig into that baits head space. Once your jig is rigged you will be able to fish your bait vertically with a finesse life like action while keeping a small bait profile. Available in 4 hook sizes. #1, 1/0, 2/0. 3/0. 1/8oz molded wire weed guard 3 per pack

Field Notes

Use this weedless hover jig for forward-facing sonar situations where you want a small bait profile and a vertical, finesse-like presentation. Rig the bait as described so the jig can hover while you work it vertically over/near structure or weeds without snagging.

Pros

  • Weedless molded wire weed guard helps prevent snags
  • Designed for vertical “hover jig” presentation
  • Small bait profile for finesse sonar fishing
  • Multiple hook sizes available

Cons

  • Limited to finesse/vertical applications rather than active casting retrieves
  • Hover action depends on correct bait rigging and weight selection
