Baitmasters of South Florida

Field Notes

Used as a dredge bar for offshore trolling spreads, typically to create extra attraction and simulate a school of baitfish. It is rigged as part of a trolling setup rather than fished on its own, and works best when pulled in open water behind the boat.

Pros

  • Collapsible/take-down design for easier storage and transport
  • Large 6-arm, 13-loop spread for a substantial trolling presentation

Cons

  • Bulky compared with standard lures
  • Requires a trolling spread and boat setup to use effectively
