Description

This is a new pattern for 2025. This is a variation of the Pink Salamander pattern that has been so hot for us lately. It is also part of the "Big Dog" collection, named after my fishing buddy Ken, who helped design it. This should be another great one.

Field Notes

This is a surface lure patterned after a salamander-style bait, so it’s best worked on top where bass can key on the profile and color flashes. Use steady retrieves, pauses, or walk-the-dog style presentations around cover and low-light feeding windows.

Pros

  • Eye-catching high-contrast pattern
  • Surface presentation can trigger reaction strikes
  • Good for covering shallow water and visible targets

Cons

  • Can be less effective in very clear, pressured water if fish are wary
  • Surface baits are usually limited to shallow presentations
