Hareline Dubbin

Field Notes

Marabou is a fly-tying material used to add lifelike movement and bulk to streamers, jigs, and other fly patterns. It works well when you want a soft, flowing profile in the water, especially for baitfish and leech imitations.

Pros

  • Soft fibers create excellent movement in the water
  • Useful for a wide range of fly patterns
  • Available in multiple bright colors

Cons

  • Requires fly tying to use
  • Not a finished fishing lure
