This is a surface plug designed to be worked with sharp rod pops to create commotion and draw strikes. It is best in calm to moderately choppy water when fish are feeding near the top, especially around bait schools, points, and shoreline structure.

Pros

  • Strong surface disturbance to call fish up
  • Good for covering water and triggering reaction strikes
  • High-visibility color pattern

Cons

  • Less effective when fish are holding deep
  • Can be harder to use in very rough water or heavy wind
