Tungsten teardrop drop shot weights are used to keep a finesse bait pinned near bottom while maintaining direct contact with the rig. They are especially useful for precise presentations around structure, ledges, and suspended fish when you want a compact weight with fast fall and good sensitivity.

Pros

  • Tungsten provides excellent sensitivity and fast sink
  • Good for precise drop shot rigging

Cons

  • Noisy/hard material can be more expensive than lead
  • Not ideal when you need a very subtle, buoyant presentation
