Double Barrel

This bait has a metallic purple back, with a white belly and hot orange accents and the signature "double barrel" black spots on each side over a white base. This bait started out as a prototype that I made by mistake. When I painted the small purple spots on the sides of the original prototype, I over did it and the paint ran in a couple spots on each side. To cover up the mistake, I decided to add large black dots on each side and then hot orange dots next to them. I gave it to my cousin as a "throw-in" when he ordered some of my catalog baits. After the first day on Erie, he asked me if I had anymore of "that purple one with the black and orange dots on the side", because he couldn't keep it in the water. I told him that it was the only one that existed at that time and he said that I needed to make more, so I did. Since then, it has been a super-star each of the last 3 years. In fact, my uncle caught his "PB" walleye on it that he is having mounted. I don't add patterns to my catalog until I have proven that they work, and this one is definitely proven!
