Football heads are bottom-contact jig heads designed to keep soft plastics upright and stable on rock, gravel, and other hard bottoms. They are commonly used for dragging or hopping craws, worms, and other trailers for bass fishing.

Pros

  • Excellent bottom contact and stand-up presentation
  • Paint-free hook eye helps with easy line tie and durability
  • Rock-hard finish should resist chipping

Cons

  • Not ideal for heavy vegetation
  • Best suited to bottom-oriented presentations rather than open-water swimming
