Description

This squarebill crankbait was developed by the Caperlan team for advanced European anglers in search of Perch and Bass. With a size of 2.1" (5.3cm) and a weight of 3/8oz (10gr) the Caperlan CRK 53 belongs to most popular hard bait category. That kind of bill allows easy deflection when the lure hits structures, reducing snags and triggering fish to bite. The CRK 53 dives to approximately 6 feet. This classic style Bass fishing lure is equipped with a Tungsten rattle system allowing it to make lifelike noise while wobbling and attract fish from distance. Your fish landing ratio will be better than ever thanks to a premium BKK 6062 #6 Black Nickel on the belly and a BKK 6062 #8 BN for back hook. As every crankbait should be the CRK53 is floating.

Field Notes

Cast and retrieve over perch/bass habitat where you expect contact with rocks or wood. The squarebill design helps it deflect off structure while the tungsten rattle and wobble draw fish from a distance. Retrieve at a steady pace and vary speed if bites slow down.

Pros

  • Squarebill bill deflects off structure to reduce snags
  • Tungsten rattle system for audible attraction
  • Dives to about 6 ft for targeted subsurface coverage
  • Premium BKK hooks for improved landing ratio

Cons

  • Best results depend on finding structure/cover where deflection triggers bites
  • Floating crankbait may require correct retrieve speed to stay in the strike zone
