Description

A micro-sized take on the original Claud Hopper, the BassMooch Claud Hopper Jr. is the most tested and prototyped bait of all BassMooch lures. The Claud Hopper Jr. took three years to develop that features a diving bill that is as large as possible while on an extremely small body for a unique ultra-finesse presentation . It is capable of diving to depths over 5 feet yet has a body size of only 1 - 3/4 inches, perfect for targeting deeper bass that are still keying in on smaller baitfish. To achieve increased hook-ups without sacrificing its unique action, the Claud Hopper Jr. utilizes a single #4 treble hook, which is much larger than typically found on baits this size. In addition to a better hook-up ratio, the single hook presentation eliminates any chance of those pesky treble hook tangles that occur on baits with multiple hooks. The result of all these key features is a lure with an action and size unlike anything currently on the market. To achieve and maintain its deadly and effective action it must be fished with a slow to medium retrieve, as burning it in will overpower the bait and affect its innovative action. Ideal for enraging bass in the 2 to 5-foot range, the BassMooch Claud Hopper Jr. is primed to change the game in finesse cranking. Uncomparable Action Never Seen Before Movement In A Crankbait Dives 2-5 Feet 1.75 Inches 1/6 oz BassMooch acquired Profound Outdoors in 2025 and the Azuma Brand. We did not change the molds - everything is exactly the same!

Use this small shallow crankbait when bass are feeding on small baitfish and you want a finesse presentation. It is best on a slow to medium retrieve so the bait can maintain its action and dive into the 2-5 foot range.

Pros

  • Ultra-finesse size for pressured or baitfish-focused bass
  • Dives shallow to moderate depths for covering water
  • Single treble reduces hook tangles
