Catskill Quill Gordon (Mallard)

At this time of year, one of the most popular imitations to use on both Rivers and Stillwaters is a skinny dry fly - especially when tied in the 'Catskill' style. These are usually tied with CdC, but this version uses Mallard, the way they present is exactly like the hatched insect. This special Catskill Quill Gordon is tied by Lucian Vasies. It is tied with Mallard and can be fished in the water film as a perfect imitation of the natural up-winged fly.
