A crawler harness is used behind a bottom bouncer or trolled slowly with live nightcrawlers for walleye. The Colorado blade and bright UV/chartreuse colors make it a strong choice when fish are feeding on the bottom or in stained water.

Pros

  • Colorado blade gives strong thump and flash
  • Bright UV colors improve visibility
  • Effective for slow trolling with live bait

Cons

  • Requires live bait and usually a separate weight or bottom bouncer
  • Can be less effective in very fast trolling situations
