Description

The Bronzeye Pop 50 was designed by MLF Angler Dean Rojas. With the Bronzeye Pop 50, you can walk the dog, pop it, chug it or dead stick it to catch those finicky bass. This smaller version of the Bronzeye Pop 60 still casts like a rocket and is weighted to land upright every time. The legs are made from living rubber that works great right out of the box, or anglers can cut them down to change the action and profile of this smaller lure. The Bronzeye Pop 50 is a perfect lure to throw. It will go through the thickest slop; lily pads or grass and it comes with those sticky sharp Gamakatsu Double hooks for solid hook-ups and is available in a variety of proven fish-catching colors. Smaller Version of the Pop 60 Subtle Popping Sound Size: 50 mm Weight: 1/4 oz. Hook: Gamakatsu 1/0 (303411) NSB EWG Double Hook

Field Notes

This is a compact topwater frog-style lure designed for bass in heavy cover. Use it over lily pads, grass, and other slop where you can walk it, pop it, chug it, or dead-stick it to trigger finicky fish. The upright landing and weedless double-hook setup make it a good choice when you need to work surface strikes through vegetation.

Pros

  • Casts like a rocket
  • Lands upright every time
  • Weedless design works through thick slop
  • Versatile topwater actions: walk, pop, chug, dead-stick

Cons

  • Best in heavy cover rather than open-water finesse
  • Small profile may not appeal to larger bait preferences
