Description

Brandons Monkey Dough is engineered with ingredients that trigger Channel Catfish into feeding. Built from years of experience on the water, providing results that speak for itself. A product made for fisherman, by a fisherman! Why it works? Brandons Monkey Dough bait is made to have a soft playdoh like consistency and softens slowly under water to spread its scent to nearby catfish. Millions of particles break off slowly, maximizing its scent to draw those catfish in for their next irresistible meal. After roughly~ 20 minutes of your bait sitting, reel in and rebait with fresh bait! After it has sit and softened you may pull the hook out of the bait as you are reeling in. Fresh bait is key. Constantly throwing into the same area will make a chummed area of this bait that Channel Catfish cannot resist! For best use, I recommend a size 4 treble hook and make small marble size balls of bait that will barely cover the hook once formed on to it! Other good options include a 1/0 Octopus hook. Many customers use the hooks with springs built on them to hold the bait on the hook even better. We offer all hook sizes mentioned, and some hooks that have "bait springs" on them! How to store it? When you aren't fishing, keep this bait in a room temperature environment with its lid shut completely. Do Not Refrigerate. Over time you may notice a orange/red liquid collecting at the bottom, or a little mold growing on the surface, both are completely normal and don't hurt the effectiveness of the bait! Simply, take the bait out of the container when you're ready to fish and mix it up good! After mixing the oils that have separated and mold back in, its good as new! Many customers believe the longer it sits and "ages" the more those channel cats love it! Shelf Life? If the lid is sealed correctly and stored in a room temp or cool environment (not refrigerated) In a container like the 1, 3 or 4lb container. ~ 4 months. NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION!!

Field Notes

Use this dough bait for channel catfish by forming small balls that barely cover the hook once softened. Let the bait sit in the water long enough to soften and release scent (about 20 minutes), then reel in and rebait with fresh dough for best results.

Pros

  • Soft, slow-softening consistency that releases scent over time
  • Designed to trigger channel catfish feeding
  • Rebaiting after sitting helps maintain effectiveness

Cons

  • Requires fresh bait after it softens
  • Best results depend on proper hook sizing and bait ball size
