Box Stuffer Trolling Flies are used trolled behind either a dodger or flasher. Trolling Box Stuffer Flies for Salmon is the great presentation used for the late spring fish on Lake Michigan when the fish start feeding on larger baits. All salmon and trout will attack Stuffer Trolling Flies trolled behind a dodger or flasher. They can be used with a variety of trolling techniques: Downriggers, Planner Boards, or Dipsy Divers. Do not grab the thread or fly material directly with your pliers as it can destroy the fly. Leader length for Box Stuffer flies is 16-24 inches from the back of your dodger or flasher to the fly. Box Stuffer Trolling flies are 2 inches long and tied on a tube which can be removed from the fishes mouth prior to unhooking, that will save the fly for future use. An extra sharp VMC treble hook is used.
